MONTY MAX LONGBINE
Memorial services for Monty Max Longbine, 72, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb.3,2023,at the Friends of Estelline Reunion Building, 501 Burnett, Estelline, Texas. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away Jan. 29, 2023, in Childress, Texas.
Monty Max Longbine was born Oct. 8, 1950, to Frank and Doris Sams Longbine.
He was a collector of arrowheads and spearheads and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed visiting casinos, especially in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a very simple man who didn’t yearn for much out of life. He was always willing to help anyone however he could. He could usually be found at the Estelline Coop or cruising a back road with Craig.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Longbine.
Survivors include a daughter, Misty Longbine, of Childress; a daughter, Melissa Brown and spouse Iran, of Weatherford, Texas; a son, Brian Longbine, of Texas; a daughter, Melinda Longbine, of Lubbock, Texas; a brother, Clyde Longbine and spouse Dale, of Granbury, Texas; a sister, Wanda Smith and spouse Steve, of Clarendon, Texas; a brother, Glen Longbine, of Waxahachie, Texas; a sister, Gaynell Miller and spouse Randy, of Wichita Falls, Texas; his best friend, Craig Collins, of Estelline; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerus nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Childress Regional Medical Center Hospice or Friends of Estelline organizations.
