Sharon Kay Blum was born on June 16, 1949, to Dewell and Betty Collins in Memphis. She went to be with her Lord on May 12, 2024. She married her highschool sweetheart and love of her life, Jackie Ray, on Nov. 1, 1966, and had three pretty good kids, Jennifer, Lee and Dustin.
Kay’s full-time job was taking care of her family. She was also Jackie’s right-hand in all of their businesses, making the best chicken fried steaks at the DeVille and burgers at My-T-Burgers. She had her commercial driver license and opened the first vape shop in Memphis. She even worked as a prison guard for a short time. She never let anyone tell her she couldn’t do something.
The most important thing to Kay was her family. She loved being “Nana”and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always excited to take someone shopping. She always had a full table when she made her chicken and dumplings and banana pudding. She cherished her husband and took care of him, just as he took care of her, for over 55 years.
