William Daniel “Willie” McFalls, 77, of Memphis, Texas, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Amarillo,Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the Memphis Church of Christ with Mariland Sims and Woodrow Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Viewing will be held Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
William Daniel McFalls was born to the late Gaines and Thelma McFalls on Nov. 28, 1946, in Memphis. Willie had a phenomenal career in music. He was named Monterey Bay Blues Society Male Vocalist of the Year in 2011 and was also named to the Texas Blues Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his kids, Keith McFalls and William McFalls Jr.; his three sisters, Lola Richardson, Irene Sims and Vera McFalls; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Gaines and Thelma McFalls; a sister, Bertha Mae McFalls Johnson; and his brothers, Rudolph McFalls, Gaines “Tim” McFalls Jr., Robert McFalls, David McFalls, Ronnie McFalls and James McFalls.
