Childress, Memphis see strong sales tax growth

AUSTIN — Childress and Memphis saw strong growth in sales tax revenues when Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock made his July allocations to local governments recently.

Sales tax revenue for the City of Childress grew 38.33% compared to last July with an allocation of $162,114.59. The Gateway City is now up 28.29% for its calendar year-to-date sales tax revenue with a total of $1,097,190.79.
