Childress’ Selah Smith sings National Anthem at 2024 Wrangler NFR, honoring family legacy

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Childress’Selah Smith, 13, recently performed the National Anthem at the 2024 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) during Round 6 Tuesday,Dec. 10, leaving her own legacy at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

CHILDRESS — January: After 37 years in business, Jim’s Barbershop served its final clients, including Clarence Duke, who recalled receiving haircuts as a child from Jim Ellis at Judd’s Barber Shop, where Jim began his career in 1987. “Closing the shop is a bittersweet decision,” Jim said.
