Patsy Sue Aaron Meyer, 86, of Amarillo, Texas, was called home by heavenly Father on Sunday, April 6, 2205, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo.

A funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at First Christian Church in Hugoton, Kan., with Pastor Ed Richards officiating. Interment followed at Hugoton Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton. The family received family and friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sue was born at home, outside of Wellington, Texas, on Oct. 10, 1938, to Doyal Granville Aaron and Velma Cass Aaron. Sue’s father, Doyal, died shortly after her birth, and her mother later married John Clyde Emmert. Sue graduated from Quail High School in Quail, Texas.

On Nov. 16, 1957, Sue married Dale Vance Ratliff near Wellington. She and Dale lived in Wellington until 1965, when they moved their family to Clayton, N.M. In 1977, they moved to Hugoton, Kan., where they later divorced.

Sue married Ronnie Frank Meyer on Oct. 3, 1980. They lived in Hugoton until April 2022, when they moved to Elkhart, Kan. After Ron’s death in November 2022, Sue moved to Park Place Towers in Amarillo, where she lived until her death.

Sue worked for the Hugoton school system and retired after many years of faithful service. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting, cooking, baking, singing and watching her beloved KU Jayhawks play basketball. She served as a long-time member of PEO.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her brothers, Jack Aaron, Otis Emmert, Thurman Emmert, J.V. “Shorty” Emmert, John “Dub” Emmert and Tommy Emmert; and by her sisters, Joy Emmert, Corene Childress and Virginia Kimbro.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Emmert Harris and husband Joe, of Wellington; her sons, Aaron Ratliff and wife Dana, of Amarillo, Leonard Meyer and wife Brenda, of Vineland, Colo., and Mike Meyer and wife Jennifer, of Newton, Kan.; and her daughters, Tammie Miller and husband Tom, of Quapaw, Okla., Carman Wilson and husband Roger, of Amarillo, Risa Meyer, of Rolla, Kan. and Shara Bane and husband Andy, of Cheney, Kan. She was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

An unwavering, faithfilled child of God, Sue loved Jesus and shared His message of salvation every chance she got. She loved her family fiercely and was our prayer warrior. She prayed, God listened and miracles happened. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
