Childress High School freshman Quay Bruce accepts accolades from Wellington Glynn Moore Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6439 Quartermaster Jr. Castillo. Bruce won the Patriot’s Pen essay contest at the Post level, and his essay advanced to the VFW District 9 level that encompasses the Texas Panhandle.
