High temps lead to boil water notice

CHILDRESS – A boil water notice was issued by the City of Childress Tuesday, Sept. 8, due to high temperatures causing disinfectants to evaporate.

City Secretary D’Linda Dockery said the problem is due to the ongoing high temperatures in the area, particularly high ground temperatures, evaporating the disinfectant to low levels.
