Local cities see higher sales tax allocations

AUSTIN – Sales tax revenues increased across the Greenbelt region when Texas Comptroller Don Huffines delivered September allocations this month.

The City of Childress saw revenues increase 59.65 percent compared to the same period last year with an allocation of $214,214.99. The city is now running 36.23 percent ahead for the calendar year-to-date at $1,524,487.06.
