LILLIAN DIANNE KENEMORE KING
Lillian Dianne Kenemore King, 72, of Memphis, Texas, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at home.
Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at North Fairview Cemetery, in Memphis, with Rev. Daniel Downey, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
Dianne was born Jan. 16, 1951, in Paris, Texas, to Harley and Doris Woods Kenemore. She attended school at Lakeview and Clarendon College of Cosmetology.
She served as a hairdresser for many years, cooked at the Wellington Livestock Cafe, worked on several ranches around Wellington and southwestern Oklahoma, and later, became a sales representative for Value Line long distance phone service.
She married Dennis King Jr. on Dec. 1, 1994, in Childress, Texas.
Dianne was preceded death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Cruise and Kathy Watson; and two brothers, Gail Kenemore and Donnie Kenemore.
Her survivors include her husband, Dennis King Jr., of Memphis; three sisters, Patsy Crump, and her husband, Harvey, of Odessa, Texas, Wanda Canada and Janice Moss, both of Amarillo; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including Brittaney Maddox and her children, Ashlee, Camee and Wyatt, of Claude,Texas, whom Dianne and Dennis helped raise.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association.
