JOHNNY LOYD RASCO

Johnny Loyd Rasco, age 71, passed away on Dec. 15, 2023, in Childress,Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at the First Assembly of God, 2020 Ave. I NW, with Pastor Justin Brown officiating. Johnny was available to be viewed anytime on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home.

Johnny was born in Wellington, Texas on Feb.1,1952, to Harold and Maurine Rasco.

Johnny loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He enjoyed taking walks with his wife, Jean, birdwatching, feeding the turtles, looking at old cars and collecting miniature lighthouses. He served in the United State Marines from 1972-1974.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maurine Rasco; two brothers, Larry and Charlie; a sister, Ruth Rasco Head; and a son, Jonathon Rasco.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wilma Jean Matheny Rasco; son Brandon Rasco and wife Jennifer; daughter Amanda Adams and husband Wesley; grandson Hudson Adams; two step-grandsons, Xavier Koblitz and Christian Cook; step-granddaughter Ashley Koblitz; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
