Carolyn Louise Mast, 74, of Memphis, Texas, died Friday, May 10, 2024, in Plainview, Texas.
Family Directed Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, in Red Marble Ministries Church in Memphis. Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Carolyn was born March 24, 1950, in Memphis to William Gayle and Charlene V. Meyers Greene. In 1968, she graduated from Memphis High School, where she was in the band. She married James E. Mast on Dec. 28, 1982, in Memphis.
She had been a resident of Memphis most of her life, where she served as a teacher in public schools and the prison system prior to her retirement. Carolyn volunteered with Girl Scouts and loved being around kids. Her hobbies included reading, dancing, gardening and listening to 50s and 60s music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ginger Caldwell.
Survivors include her husband, James Mast, of Memphis; her son, Craig Lentz, of Kansas City, Mo.; her daughter, Stacy Perez, of Katy, Texas; a brother, Tom Greene, of Temple, Texas; and six grandchildren.
