Michael Dale Trosper was born on March 10, 1962, in Childress, Texas to Billy and Sue (Richardson) Trosper. He passed from this life on Dec. 19, 2024, surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Childress with Edwin Sides officiating.
Mike married Shirley Miller, and they were blessed with four daughters,Summer, Misty, Kristin and Ashley. He worked for BNSF Railroad and for the Texas Department of Transportation. His hobbies were spending time with family, loved ones and friends, camping, hunting and NASCAR. Spending time with Mike, whether it was working, listening to music, singing or dancing, he was doing it with a smile and laughter that was contagious. He was always capable and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. No matter what time of day,he would always greet anyone with “good morning.”
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Trosper; his daughters, Summer Trosper and Shaun Love, Misty Sides and husband Craig, Kristin Casey and husband Dareck and Ashley Love; 13 grandchildren, Abbie and Allison Schaefer, Cooper, Keagan and Clint Sides, Kazz and Kade Trosper, Konner, Patrick, Dylan and Justin Casey and Scarlet and Kollin Love; his mother, Sue Trosper; his siblings, Vicky Goodwin and husband Mike,Pam Gambol and husband Larry and Kathy Lane and husband Rickey; his sister- in-law, Lisa Trosper; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father,Bill Trosper,and his two brothers, Keith Trosper and Kirk Trosper.
