Gale Catherall Sharp, 86, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Plymouth Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Knowles, pastor of the Quail Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
She was born on October 29, 1938, in Wellington, to Roscoe and Bernice Harper Catherall. Gale married Horace Small Jr. on Oct. 5, 1963, in Clovis, N.M. He died in 1980. On April 25, 1983, she married Oneil Sharp in Amarillo, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Gale operated the Sale Barn Café for over 10 years at the Wellington Livestock Commission for Rusty Henard’s family, and she enjoyed babysitting kids. She loved living on her ranch and just being a homemaker. In her later years, Gale became a member of the Samnorwood Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Catherall; and her nephew, Tim Catherall.
Gale is survived by two brothers, Bill Catherall, of Conroe, Texas, and Daniel Catherall and his wife, Cheryl, of Waco, Texas; two sisters, Joy Terry and her husband, Stanley, of Childress, Texas, and Vicki Monitor and her husband, Don, of Richmond, Va.; her nieces and nephews; and her special friends and caregivers, Tal and Jennifer Henard, of Wellington.
