Graveside services for Betty Christian, 82, of Vian, Okla., formerly of Memphis, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16,2024,at Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey, Texas. Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.Friday,Feb.16 at Robertson Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc., in Sallisaw, Okla.
Betty Christian was born on March 3, 1941, in Memphis, to Lizzie Vaughn Srygley and R.D. Srygley. She passed away on Feb. 6, 2024, in Vian.
Married to Glynn Christian, of Turkey, Betty served as a former Registered Nurse at Hall County Hospital and of the Baptist faith. She loved her grandchildren, dogs, reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her daughter, D’Lynn Armstrong and Richard, of the home; a son, Robert Christian, of Hammond, La.; eight grandchildren, Ruth Ann “Rudi” Perrault and Dain, Duncan Baker Armstrong, Alexa Brooke Armstrong, Rebekah Grace Christian, Marcus Glen Armstrong, John Glynn Christian, Mathew Luke Christian and Gabriel Michael Christian; two nieces, Twana Stewart and Angie Larson; one nephew, Willie Rhoades; and numerous other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glynn; her sister, Wanda Maxine Rhoades; and an infant brother, Royce Dale Srygley.
