Carl V. Seal, age 92, passed away on Feb. 13, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with Terry William officiating. Burial immediately followed in Cee Vee Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Family visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home.
Carl was born June 5, 1931, to Quincy Ova Seal and Sarah Ann (Monk) Seal in Cee Vee,Texas.
Carl served the country in the United States Army. He was a very loving and kind man whose blue eyes sparkled when he greeted you with his beautiful smile. He was a widower two times previously before marrying Linda Mayden Seal on July 15, 2014. He was a farmer and rancher most of his life, and he loved every aspect of his profession. He was a dedicated man who was a member of several Masonic lodges, including those in Childress; Matador, Texas; Paducah, Texas; Quanah, Texas; and Coalinga, Calif.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mike Litz; his sister, Nelda Moran; his first wife, Marsha (Perkins) Seal; and his second wife, Merlene (Litz) Seal.
Carl is survived by his wife, Linda (Mayden) Seal, of Childress; his sons, Clinton Seal and wife Grace, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jack Litz, of Amarillo, Texas; his daughter, Gail Erickson and husband Derek, of Iowa Park, Texas; his stepson, Jay Mayden and wife Sharalyn, of Childress; his stepdaughter, Misty Mayden, of Amarillo; his brother, Nick “Glen” Seal and wife Pat, of Cee Vee; his sisters, Nadiah “Nada” Smith, of Vernon, Texas, and Nynvia Mills and husband Ronald, of College Station, Texas; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special friends George Trent, Andy Falcon, Wes Campbell, Harvy Dobbs, Taron Wyatt, Christine McGruder, Conrad and Ellen Masterson, Patrick and Diane Rhodes and Amber Matin.
