Cinda Imojean Farmer, 87, passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Although she spent the past six years in Sanger, Texas, her heart never left Childress, Texas, where she lived most of her life and formed many of the cherished relationships that shaped her journey.
Born on November 14, 1938, in Clarksville, Texas, to Lena and Abe Freeze, Imojean grew up in Estelline, Texas and graduated from Estelline High School in 1957. That same year, she married Hugh Lang, and together, they welcomed three children, Keith, Christie and Pam.
After settling in Childress, Imojean worked in several local positions before serving as manager of Allsup’s Convenience Store for four years. She later dedicated more than 25 years to the Childress Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where she built lifelong friendships and became a trusted, familiar presence in the community. It was there that she met the love of her life, Sonny Hough. Their years together were filled with companionship, family and a deep mutual respect.
Imojean will be remembered for her steady kindness, distinctive humor and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, hard work and quiet joy that touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena and Abeline “Ab” Freeze; her sister, Joyce Smith; her brother, Ross Freeze; her beloved, Sonny Hough; and her son, Keith Lang.
She is survived by her daughters, Christie (David) Hayes and Pam ( Jimmy) Richey, and her grandchildren, Kris (Brittany) Cawthon, Josh (Laine) Cawthon, Zach (Mallory) Cawthon, Amber Thorn, Kenneth (Roxy) Berry,Keisha ( Josh) Frasier, Leigha Hayes, Josh ( Julie) Hayes and Ashley (Tyler) Goeke. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. Her best friend of more than 50 years, Deborah Rozycki, remained a faithful companion throughout her life and continued to share in her friendship until the end.
Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home in Childress. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 15, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in Childress, with Pastor Terry Williams officiating.
