Cliff Odis Pennon, 64, of Wellington, Texas, left this Earth on May 25, 2023, at Wellington Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Holy Sanctuary Church in Wellington. Arrangements are made by family and friends of Cliff.
Cliff was born Dec. 11, 1958, in Collingsworth County to the late Cleophus Pennon and Artheria Armstrong Pennon. He was a lifelong resident of Wellington. Cliff graduated from Wellington High School in 1977, and he attended college at West Texas State University in Canyon.
Through the years, Cliff served as a spike factory employee and as a farmhand. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had a way of making people love him. His laugh and sense of humor was one of a kind, and you were guaranteed to smile in his presence. Cliff will truly be missed by everyone in his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Pennon and Arthur Lee Pennon.
Surviving relatives are his children and grandchildren, including daughter Tracey Garcia McLaurin, her husband, Patrick, and their three children, Olivia, Marley and Wyatt, and son Benjamin Moore and his three children, Bam, Jozalynn and Brookelynn, all of Amarillo, Texas; brothers Cleo Pennon Jr., Ronnie D. Pennon, Alvin Pennon, Willie Pennon and Kirby Pennon; one sister, Rachel Gilford; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends. Cliff had a bonus daughter, Iris Williams, and her children, Avery and Cash Williams, of Yukon, Okla.
