David Dee Caison, 78, of Wellington, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 13, 2025. He was born on Oct. 24, 1947, to Anna Bell (Long) and Claude W. Caison.
David was a devoted farmer whose hands worked the soil with pride and purpose and an auctioneer that worked for decades in the area. He had a love for horse racing, football and rodeo and was a faithful Wellington Skyrocket supporter. His steady presence, sense of humor and strength were a blessing to all who knew him.
On Dec. 22, 1967, David married the love of his life, Karen Sue Hembree, and together, they built a life rooted in love and family. God blessed them with two daughters, Carla Renee Caison Guajardo and her husband, Patrick, of Childress, Texas, and Xaviera “Annie” Caison Haynes and her husband, Aubrey, of Uvalde, Texas.
David was a proud grandfather to Patrick Jacob “Jake” Guajardo, Robert Edward “Eddie” Guajardo, Samantha Renee Guajardo and Landon Nicole Haynes, and a loving great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. He also cherished his close bond with the Trejo family, who became a special part of his life and heart.
The family rejoices in knowing that David is now in the presence of his Savior. His legacy of faith, family and hard work will continue to shine through those he loved most.
A private celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers or food, please consider donating to the Collingsworth Home Delivered Meals, P.O. Box 228, 906 Amarillo St., Wellington, TX 79095.
