Emma Rocha
Emma Rocha, 74, passed away Oct. 24, 2025, in Childress, Texas.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
Emma Rocha was born May 30, 1951, in Laredo, Texas to Ruben Rocha and Francisca Vega.
Emma worked for Royal Park in 1975, however, her most recent job was at Walmart. Emma will be remembered for her nurturing nature; she was a care giver to several people and would also iron for the public.
She enjoyed quite a few things. One being that she absolutely loved going to the game room — she had lots of fun there. She also really enjoyed baking, whether she had all the ingredients to her recipe was another story. When she baked, sometimes she was known for not following her own recipe and would end up with a new recipe. If it was nasty, she would just toss it away.
Carmen, Mary and Gracie will forever cherish the fond memories that the three of them had with their dear sweet sister, Emma.
Emma is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Baker, of Childress, Gracie Rodgers, of Childress, Carmen Sullivan, of Childress, and Alicia Gonzalez, of Laredo; brothers Oscar Garcia, of Childress, and Eddie Garcia, of Childress; half-sisters Yolanda Juerez, Josefine Vigil, Herlinda Kolander, Manuelita Morin and Guadalupe Bermudez; grandson Michael and wife Tiffany, of Dallas, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Felixx Rocha, Syliss Rocha and Kalibb Rocha.
Emma is preceded in death by Mrs. and Mrs. Tomas Garcia Sr.; father Ruben Rocha; Mother Francisca Vega; brothers Thomas Garcia Jr., Tony Garcia, John Paul Garcia, Ruben Rocha; sisters Gloria Tomlinson, Francisca Palma, Maria Gonzales and Rosa Vasquez; and son Mark Rocha.
