Gerald Macalik

Gerald Macalik, 82, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.

He was born in Ennis, Texas, on Sept. 16, 1943, to Joe and Christine (Salik) Macalik.

Gerald married Sharon Motsenbocker in 1985. They moved to Wellington in 1993 from Ennis.

He was a self-employed master plumber and had worked in the maintenance department at the TDCJ T.L. Roach Unit in Childress, Texas.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon; three brothers, Joe Ben, Daniel and Anthony; two sisters, Josephine and Mary Ella; a sister-in-law, JoAnne; and a brother-in-law, Wesley.

He is survived by his five daughters, Suzann Baker, Melissa Zmolik, Amy Gurley, Kimberly Petter and Gail Macalik; a sister, Christine Mokry; and three stepchildren, Glen Henry Lewis, Tim Lewis and Regina Lewis.

A private family graveside service will be held in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
