Funeral services for June Sigler Cast, 84, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel in Childress Cemetery with Randy Wilson officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away March 6, 2023, in Childress, Texas.
June was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Dequeen, Ark., to Walter W. Sigler and Anna Belle Webb Sigler.
She was a selfless woman who loved her family and adored the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid shopper and loved the Home Shopping Network. She liked to send 3 a.m. text messages to kids and grandkids. She always called to sing “Happy Birthday” to the family. She was a fantastic seamstress and gave haircuts and perms to the kids. She was always willing to help out where she could and put everyone before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freddy Cast; and a sister, Maggie Marie Sigler Green.
Survivors include a son, Danny Cast, of Childress; a daughter, Sheila Rogers and husband David, of Morrison, Okla.; grandchildren Jennifer West and husband David, Amanda Wright and JonAnn Kinsley and husband Raymond; great-grandchildren Braden, Brock, Mollie and Megan West, Chance Malachi and Kendal Wright, and Brynna, Benjamin and Bryce Kinsley; a sister-in-law, Mickie Taylor; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
