Linda (Wade) Moore, 82, of Wellington, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, in Nebraska.
Graveside services took place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Keith Martin officiating. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
She was born on March 6, 1943, in Wellington to J. B. and Willie Simpson Wade.
Linda graduated from Wellington High School in 1961 and attended business college for a couple of years. She married Donald L. Moore on June 10, 1962, in Wellington. He preceded her in death in 2020.
She was a public-school secretary for many years in Colorado. They retired and moved back to Wellington in 2009. Linda then moved to Nebraska in 2024 to be near family.
Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellington.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Melissa Simmerman and her husband, Terry, of Nebraska; her sister, Vicki Black, of Wellington; a brother, Brent Wade and his wife, Paula, of Amarillo, Texas; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Wellington.
