Michael Earl Bloxom, 73, of Memphis, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Memphis Church of Christ with Mark Lance and Daniel Downey officiating. Graveside services will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with military honors. Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Michael was born on Aug. 6, 1950, to Earl and Joyce Murdock Bloxom. He was born and raised in Memphis was a graduate of Memphis High School.
After graduating, Mike served his country as a proud member of the United States Army for eight years, doing tours in Thailand. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Mike returned to Memphis, where he worked as a lineman for Lighthouse Electric Cooperative for 10 years, and later, 23 years for SWEPCO.
He married his wife of 51 years, Deborah Brunson, on July 22, 1972, in Memphis, and they had two daughters together, Dana and Keely.
Mike was a member of Memphis Church of Christ and served on the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Joyce Bloxom; and his son-in-law, Matt Waller.
Mike is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Memphis; two daughters, Dana Foelsch and husband Robert, of Memphis, and Keely Ramsey and husband Hollis, of Duncan, Okla.; brother, Rick Bloxom and wife Kelli, of Bartlesville, Okla.; sister, Betty Lesley, of Memphis; four grandchildren, Cameron Waller and wife Jaden, of Memphis, Mikayla Ramsey, Caleb Ramsey and Cody Ramsey, all of Duncan, Okla.; step-grandson Anthony Foelsch, of Germany; one great-granddaughter, Charlee Waller; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
