Mrs. Paul “Harriett” Schaub, 83, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Funeral services took place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Lambert, pastor, and Rev. Gradon Schaub,of Granbury, Texas, officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.

Pallbearers were Larry Waters, Paul J. Schaub, Clint Oldham, Jordan Oldham, Gradon Schaub and Tyler Schaub.

She was born on June 6, 1940, in Shamrock, Texas to James W. and Mittie M. Young Lowry. She married Paul Schaub on Dec. 26, 1958, in Lutie,Texas.

Harriett retired from the Samnorwood School District after serving as a teacher’s aide for 30 years.

A member of the First Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School and served as a member of the adult choir and the Goodtime Singers for many years.

A former member of the Young Matrons in Samnorwood and the Wellington Lions Club, Harriett delivered meals for the Collingsworth County Home Delivered Meals program for several years.

Most of all, she loved spending time on the family farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers-in-law, Ernest Schaub, Joe Schaub, Frank Worsham and Joe Lisle.

Her survivors include her husband, Paul, of Wellington; her daughter, DiAnna Oldham and her husband, Clinton, of Winnie, Texas; two sons, Lowry Schaub and his wife, Janice, of Lubbock, Texas, and Russell Schaub and his wife, Leanna, of Canyon, Texas; two brothers, Joel Lowry and his wife, Janice, of Vernon, Texas, and Neal Lowry and his wife, Pollye, of Abilene,Texas; four sisters-inlaw, Kay Thomason and her husband, Troy, of Wellington, Jackie Worsham, of Alanreed, Texas, Janie Lisle, of Shamrock, and Mary Waters and her husband, Larry, of Needwood, Texas; nine grandchildren, Chelsea McDaniel and Charlie, Clint Oldham and Jaclyn, Jordan Oldham and Kayla, Shaena Lampe and Sam, Paul J. Schaub and Lauren, Leasha Stygler and Kyle, Gradon Schaub and Courtney, Kaleigh Lauhoff and Ryan and Tyler Schaub; and 22 great-grandchildren.
