Norma Jean Martin, 93, of Granbury, Texas, formerly of Memphis, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, in Granbury.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at First Methodist Church of Memphis, with Phillip Hancock and Eugene Weldon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Viewing took place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, with family receiving friends for visitation from 4-6 p.m. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.

Norma Martin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, was born on Nov. 17, 1932, in Lakeview, Texas, to Kenneth D. and Emma Lee (Davis) Nabers. She graduated from Lakeview High School and later, continued her education at Clarendon College.

On Oct. 20, 1951, she married the love of her life, Raymond Howard Martin, in Lakeview. The couple had three children, Kenneth, Pernina and RayNell. This year would have marked their 75th wedding anniversary—a true testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other.

Norma dedicated many years of service to General Telephone Company before retiring. Never one to stay idle, she later found joy in working as a substitute teacher at Memphis High School, where she continued to make a positive impact on young lives.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Norma not only excelled as an athlete in her youth but also took great pride in supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, faithfully attending their sporting events and cheering them on. She deeply cherished time spent visiting with friends and was known for her warm and welcoming spirit.

Norma was a lifelong resident of Hall County until she and Raymond moved to Granbury to be closer to their children and family. She served as a devoted member of the First Methodist Church of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, K.D. Nabers; and her sisters, Katrina Hancock and Patsy Adcock.

Norma is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Martin, of Granbury; her son, Kenneth Martin and wife Tracy, of Granbury; her daughters, Pernina Cormier and husband Serge, of Granbury, and RayNell Lane and husband Barry, of Granbury; her brother, Mickey Nabers and wife Loretta, of Austin, Texas; her sisters, Winnie Davis, of Memphis, and Shirley Weldon, of Jacksboro, Texas; her grandchildren, Tanner Martin and wife Gabriele, Trace Martin and wife Shona, Madison Gregory and husband Gavin, Cash Lane and wife Kimble, Cassie Pope and husband Adam and Sasha Garton and husband Devin; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
