Randy Wooldridge, 78, of Wellington, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at the Wellington Care Center.
He was born on April 30, 1947, in Wellington, to Grant and Edna Warren Wooldridge. Randy attended Wellington schools and graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1965. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1969.
Randy’s working career began at Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas, as a Lab Technician. His career interest led him to several stops in the auto parts industry, including Tulsa, Okla., Austin, Texas and Denver, Colo., where he once received the Salesman of the Year award.
He loved the Lord, and several years ago, became ordained and shared the gospel with inmates incarcerated in area towns.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Wooldridge, and his wife, Cindy, of Amarillo; and two nephews, Jake Adamson, of Denver, Colo., and Aaron Adamson, of Amarillo.
Graveside services took place at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at North Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Noah Downing, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. The family entrusted arrangements to Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Wellington Cemetery Association or the Wellington EMS, if so desired.
