Richard (Ricky) Henry Brown, 67, of Miami, Texas, passed away on Aug. 15, 2023, in Pampa, Texas.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Ricky was born on Sept. 18, 1955, in Troy, N.Y. He is remembered by family and friends as a hardworking, faithful and kind-hearted man who loved his family and his wife, Diana, of 26 years. “Stick,” as he was known by those close to him, was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also had a love for NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Austinnetta Brown, of Childress, Texas; and two grandchildren, Karter and Karlee Moody. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Michael Shepard.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Diana Brown, of Miami; three children, Brandon Brown and wife Alyssa, of Greensburg, Kan., Sarah Booth, of Hutchinson, Kan., and Erica Moody and husband Brandon, of Haven, Kan.; a sister, Sally Shepard, of Spring Branch, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Christina, Zachary, Jason, Keiden, Iva, Kamden and Khloe; nieces Brandi Epperson and Carrie Nash; great-nephew Peter Epperson and sons; great-niece Kaitlin Epperson and son; best friend and cousin Art Brown, as well as numerous beloved cousins; an uncle, Hughell (Hoot) Holt and wife Ruth; and his aunt, Jean Worley.
