Ronald James Roberson, 65, of Wellington, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at North Fairview Cemetery, with Braden Montgomery, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hedley, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
Pallbearers are Ronnie, Trevor, Keith and Keaston Roberson.
Ron was born on July 3, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif., to James M. and Dorothy F. Blades Roberson. He and Arlene were married on Feb. 28, 1993, in Pomona, Calif., and in 1994, they moved to Wellington.
He served as a diesel mechanic and as a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. A musician, Ron played in the band 83 South with Tim Black and Joe O’Rear a few years back. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Travis Roberson.
His survivors include his wife, Arlene, of Wellington; three sons, Ronnie Roberson and Jaci, of Wellington, Trevor Roberson, of Lubbock, Texas, and Keith Roberson, of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Lora Roberson, of Amarillo; a brother, Steve Roberson and Darlene, of Fullerton, Calif.; a sister, Linda Taylor and Joe, of Wellington; and two grandchildren, Keaston James Roberson and Kimberlyn Irene Roberson.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Wellington Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 321, Wellington, TX 79095.
