Teresa Reyna Garza, 73, a longtime resident of Wellington, Texas, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at the Wellington First Baptist Church, with Rev. Alejandro Rodarte, of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will follow in North Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1952, in Robstown, Texas, to Eva Zepada, who preceded her in death.
Teresa married Reynaldo Garza Jr. on Dec. 27, 1966, in Memphis, Texas. Reynaldo’s ministry first brought them to Wellington in 1977, and after ministering in other places, the couple returned in 1987. Their ministry calling led them to Quanah in 1992, then, in 1998, they returned to Wellington to stay. She was a devout Baptist who loved to sing and praise her Lord.
She was also preceded in death by her mom, Maria Martinez, and a brother, Juan Martinez.
Teresa is survived by her husband,Reynaldo; daughter Linda Owens and her husband, Bob; three sons, Eddie Garza and his wife, Cristine, Ruben Garza and Samuel Garza and his wife, Mariana; daughters Jennifer Garza and Antonio and Melinda Garza and Antonio Hernandez; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
