CHILDRESS — Paying tribute to the 343 New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sept. 11, 2001, the Childress Fire Department and Childress Main Street will host a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at Fair Park Stadium.

WELLINGTON – Area residents flocked to three-day 85th anniversary sale at Bartlett’s Lumber & Hardware Sept. 1, 2 and 3. “We sold lots of merchandise during the 20% off Bucket Bonanza sale,” Store Manager Eli Jett said.

MEMPHIS — Southside lawns and landscaping are being ripped up by feral hogs in Memphis,an issue the Memphis Police Department is now battling, according to Police Chief D.W. Griffin.
