Childress Junior High School eighth-grader Tripp Hunter competes in The Junior Tour Powered by Under Armor for the Western Oklahoma Region, finishing second and qualifying to play in the National Championship at Fazio Course at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Competing in the 15-18-year-old division as a 14 year old, Hunter placed 37th out of 64 players at the National Championship competition. Childress Junior High School

BUSHLAND – On Tuesday, Feb. 10, the Wellington Lady Rockets pulled ahead and defeated the Quanah Lady Indians in a 7429 final on the road.Wellington got the ball rolling early in the game, controlling on both ends of the court. Taytum Kane led the Lady Rockets with an impressive 22 points.
