WELLINGTON — Janie Ramirez, Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) at Collingsworth General Hospital (CGH), recently received the STAR (Service, Teamwork, Attitude and Results) employee distinction for the fourth quarter, recognizing her dedication to supporting both patients and coworkers.

Collingsworth County youth excel at local livestock show

WELLINGTON – Local 4-H and FFA youth highlighted their livestock show projects during the 2026 Collingsworth County Livestock Show (CCLS), beginning with the goat show at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Wellington Fairgrounds.
Making the rounds to measure levels of 166 area wells, the Mesquite Groundwater Conservation District staff began the task last week with a goal of having the data collected by mid-February.
